Professional Allowances

One form of improving the welfare of teachers is the amount of professional allowance equivalent to one times base salary for teachers who are certified educators and meet other requirements. In 2007 professional allowances have been distributed from the center directly to the account of each recipient teacher. Meanwhile, in 2008 and 2009, the professional allowance is channeled through these funds in their respective provincial education office. Starting in 2010 the professional allowance for some local teachers civil servants (PNSD) were paid through a transfer mechanism to the area in the office of district education offices of each city. While the benefits of the teaching profession rather than civil servants and some teachers are still channeled through these funds in the provincial education office respectively.
